    * Understanding the history and basics of drypoint printmaking.

    * Overview of materials and tools used in drypoint.

    2. Creating Your Plate

    * Techniques for preparing and handling the plate.

    * How to transfer your design onto the plate.

    * Incising your image using various tools for different effects.

    3. Inking and Wiping:

    * Methods for inking your plate to highlight incised lines.

    * Techniques for wiping the plate.

    4. Printing:

    * Setting up the printing press.

    * Paper preparation and registration.

    * Pulling your first print and evaluating results.

    5. Finishing Touches:

    * Discussion on editioning and signing prints.

    • An apron or old clothing (printmaking can be messy!)

    • A packed lunch (tea, coffee and cake provided)
